This site is dedicated to the memory of Stephen Young.
A very tragic and sad ending for the teenage Scout leader killed in an accident on a mountain in the Scottish Highlands who died doing something he loved. Stephen Young, 18, from Kent was leading a walking trip on Creag Meagaidh in Inverness-shire on Monday 15th February 2010 when he fell through a snow shelf. He was airlifted to hospital in Fort William but sadly pronounced dead on arrival.

Thoughts
i met stephen on KIJ09 and i was on crutches, i was sooooo bad at using them because i'd never used them before and i fell, hitting my head on a building... he saw me, helped me up and practically gave me a piggy back all the way back to tolerence. i wish i could have been there today but my mum wouldn't let me have the day off school, i seriously considered bunking but i know he wouldnt have wanted that really. i'll always remember him.

This small donation is in memory of Stephen Young - a shining example to young folk and taken from his family and friends far too sonn. I don't know them but my heart goes out to them.

'We were very touched that Stephen chose to spend a year under canvas in order to raise as much money as possible for Demelza. It was an amazing achievement for which we were very grateful.
